CLAUDE DEUCE
You may not know him by name or face but you definitely know his work. Claude Deuce, the industry’s best kept secret, is finally coming front and center to release his studio debut CD Claude Deuce, The Young Elder, July 14th on Livin’ It Productions, distributed through Taesis.

Entering the industry with his sleeves rolled up, he’s introduced some of the freshest urban gospel music today writing and producing for artists as Deitrick Haddon, Canton Jones, Big Al, Tonex, Sean Simmonds, Izzy and more, establishing himself as the "go to" man for innovative music. When asked to describe his project, Claude described it as, "an urban hymnal...Reality & Beats--my R&B."

Claude Deuce, The Young Elder, is filled with infectious drum tracks, bass lines, and melodies that carry the sweet message of Jesus to the youth as well as the young at heart were all created with feel good beats and lyrics to edify the body.

"When I write and produce I always want to be relevant and relative. I want the artist and those who listen to understand and get it," he says. "I also want listeners to feel encouraged and to feel that they can share my project with anyone."

Encapsulating talent with standout tracks as "4 Who U R, " a favorite of Claude’s because of the old school Stevie Wonder feel, and "It Ain't Over" the first single, relevant because the message remains true forever, the project displays cohesiveness yet versatility. "Show Me" is raw and very forward with Claude confessing that he needs God to show him the way, while "Don't 4get," Claude’s favorite, has several movements and changes and as he puts it "the background vocal arrangement is hot." The Christian anthem "Got That Stuff," proclaims we have the favor of God on our lives, and the project continues showcasing meaningful lyrics over substantial tracks.

"My songs are for everybody," he explains. "I write songs that the church mother will like and songs that the thugs will feel and be touched by."

Truly blessed with multiple talents the musical mastermind is versed on drums, the sax (all), the bass guitar and piano/organ, and is influenced by a variety of talents including pastor Marvin L. Winans, Tonex, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Deitrick Haddon, Rance Allen, Kim Burrell, Kanye West, Bryan M. Cox, Timbaland, and Eric Dawkins.

As a featured artist on Gospel Music Channel’s "Bobby Jones Next Generation," and the writer for "Hershey Kisses Bliss," the theme song for Gospel Dream, the Idol®-like talent search on Gospel Music Channel, Claude stays very busy.

"God keeps giving me fresh ideas and He continues to use me to bless people which in turn keeps me driven."

The son of pastors Claude and Regina Harris, a family of preachers, and a sister Danielle Harris, who duets with him on his new project, it was inevitable for him to preach and sing.

He is a licensed Elder in the Church of God In Christ and serves as Minister of Music at New Life Worship Center in Augusta Ga.

"I want to reach out and touch the world. I want to reach so many people with this message of Christ and I want to be relevant while doing it."
